Welcome to Tacoma Union Station Weddings by Wallflower Photography!

Union Station, a historic train depot constructed in 1910, is one of Tacoma's landmark buildings and a one-of-a-kind venue for weddings of all sizes. It has three stories — the rotunda on the main floor, the balcony forming a ring around the rotunda, and the concourse below — that are all rented together as a package. Tacoma Union Station is an amazing wedding venue inside and out, and is particularly well-suited for large weddings, able to seat 800 people and accommodate 1200 people reception-style. Tacoma Union Station's focal point is its 90-foot-high central dome, its interior adorned by coffered plaster and a constellation of recessed lights surrounding a skylight at the top. Gleaming marble walls, patterned terrazzo tile floors, and bronze railings work together to create a truly high-end atmosphere — without the high-end rental prices.

Tacoma is the home town of famed glass artist Dale Chihuly, and collections of his art embellish all four sides of the Union Station rotunda at the balcony level. The real highlight, however, is Chihuly's 20-foot chandelier of countless multicolored glass pieces that hangs from the ceiling and is illuminated by the natural light that pours through the skylight when the sun is overhead.

Tacoma Union Station is a photographer's playground, but if that wasn't enough, it's within a quick walk of several other photographic destinations, most prominently the Museum of Glass and Thea Foss Waterway, accessible on foot via the Bridge of Glass, featuring several more Chihuly installations. Other photogenic neighbors include the Tacoma Art Museum, Washington State History Museum, and University of Washington Tacoma.
